If I had access to more than $8 right now, this is what I'd get for my grocery list.
Tart Cherry Juice or Tart Cherries (for before bed to help with sleep regulation and sore muscles)
2-3 cans of Tuna Fish (It's a cheap source of fish )
Whole Grain Bread or Buttermilk Bread (whole grain is healthier but buttermilk is delicious)
Kale/ Spinach/ Head of Romaine Lettuce ( You just function better with greens)
Peppers
Eggs
Non-sugary Yogurt with fortified vitamin D
Tomatoes (because they've been especially delicious of lately)
Mushrooms (Portobello)
Couscous/ Some sort of grain type thing-(I got oats and Quinoa in pantry, so this is not critical)
Blueberries/Strawberries/Kiwi/Fruit-Something fruity and sugary
Broccoli/ Asparagus
Onions????
